Ser Jacopo's Domina series is the Pesaro workshop's Pipe of the Year, with this 1998 edition showcasing their whimsical shaping approach and exquisite silverwork. The bowl is broad and muscular, with a single beadline giving prominence to the rim. The sandblasted finish is crisp and texturally inviting, with an abundance of undulating ring grain on display. A filigree sterling silver band adorns the shank end, before giving way to the deeply bent saddle stem. The wide, low-set transition utilizes negative space to draw further focus to the bowl while the overall piece remains light enough for comfortable clenching.-John McElheny
