Deer Lodge schools boost cleaning supply budget with CARES funds
Deer Lodge School Superintendent Rodney Simpson is working on the budget for the coming school year. Currently, one of the highest cost points is cleaning supplies. “We’re trying to take care of those things and not put that burden on the parents of bringing wipes, tissues and different things,” said Simpson. Gov. Steve Bullock announced federal funding through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act. It gives $75 million to schools to use towards the purpose of reopening.
