Tips and Tricks
1. For greatest success in rolling out SUMESHI. First soften with your hands and use your fingers to smoosh the SUMESHI IN THE PACKAGE
2. Take all ingredients out of the wrappers and lay them out BEFORE starting your sushi making.
3. To make MAKI, roll out the SUMESHI on the non-stick parchment paper. Roll flat, take rice off paper, flip onto the other side, roll flat and continue this process. Do not roll too thin. (between 1/8-1/4 inch)
4. The NAKIRI can be used to cut the MAKI into bite-sized pieces. If an adult is supervising, a kitchen knife will provide a cleaner cut (only use real knife with adult supervision).
5. Have wet paper towel handy to occasionally wipe off sticky residue from the NAKIRI and HASAMI.
