Ingredients:
1 package of Holy Ghost Soup Seasoning Mix
3 pounds beef roast (boneless chuck roast)
1 link chourico or linguica (optional)
1 head of green cabbage, cut into quarters
4 cups water
Mint leaves
Thick sliced, day-old Portuguese, Italian or crusty artisan bread.
Directions:
Mix seasoning mix and water to bottom of slow cooker.
Add beef and place sausage and cabbage around meat.
Cover and cook on high for 5 hours or on low for 10 hours.
To serve, place slices of bread in each soup plate topped with mint leaves. Ladle a generous amount of broth over the bread to soften followed with topping it off with pieces of meat and cabbage. Garnish with mint leaves.
