The combination code can easily be changed. Follow these Instructions: Combination lock come set to 000. To change the combination, Turn the dials to 000, turn the lock to align the outer change button and inner pin, both located at the side of the lock. Insert the tip of a metal paperclip into the change button, push the paperclip inside unlocking the inner pin, and while still firmly pushing in, turn the dial to your new number, release the clip and your new number is set. Once your number is set, you can always just dial one dial up or down, and the lock will not open. All you need to remember is to dial that one dial, making it easy for you to open the lock. We include a piece of Velcro to attach to the bottom of the dividers for use inside or outside the box. Store the lid underneath the box if you intend to keep the box open for a while, drawer should still be able to close. This box is plain fantastic as a knife organizer even without the lock usage!
