Designed in Denmark by industrial designer and architect Jacob Jensen, it originally launched in 1954 and was named for the Danish Queen Margrethe (with the expressed permission of the Danish royal house—how official!). Dishwasher safe. Heat resistant up to 158°F. Melamine with fitted plastic lid. Anti-slip ring on bottom. Handle and pour spout. BPA free.
