Designed architect Michael Graves in 1985 this kettle is the first of a group of products designed in the 80's and 90's the architect. This was the first group of products an American designer to be included in the Alessi catalog. It opened the way for the playful design style that subsequently characterized the 90's and thanks to an inspired mix of post-modern and pop idioms it has become one of the internationally recognized icons of the 80's.
The Michael Graves 9093 Kettle is Alessi's most iconic and best selling item of all time. This item is the replacement whistle ( bird shape) Michael Graves Born in Indianapolis, he teaches architecture in Princeton since 1962. His architectural works include the Portland Building and the Humana Building, the extension of the Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Newark Museum. He created the best-selling 9093 kettle for Alessi. Michael Graves died in 2015.
