These lots of 5 battery operated 5 mm (red/blue flash is 3mm) LED lights are great for many projects. I use them in my battery operated candle holders and in other small items. If you are looking for a great hands on project for a kid's party, try letting the kids build a small lantern. All it takes is plain white paper, tape, crayons or markers, and any other decorations you have handy. Children love a chance to be creative. The lights are also ideal for attracting attention to wreaths, flowers, and other items. On the SLOW RGB bulbs, each color fades in and out slowly, so other colors, such as purple, are produced as well. The FAST RGB bulbs flash from one color to the next, creating a mini light show. The CANDLE FLICKER bulbs stay one color, but the intensity changes constantly. The 3mm Red / Blue flashing bulb changes rapidly back and forth, like an emergency vehicle light. My standard mixed color lot is one slow RGB, one fast RGB, one red flicker, one green flicker, and one blue flicker light, but you can specify any mixture of the listed bulb colors. I have soldered the bulbs to a battery holder with an on/off switch and added heat shrink tubing to reduce the chances of short circuiting. The battery holder uses 2 CR2032 batteries, which are very cheap when bought in bulk. Each light comes with 2 batteries installed and has been checked for proper operation. The battery holders can be converted to work off a single battery by bending the copper contacts to touch in the empty hole. This is especially good for yellow lights, which appear a bit more orange with 2 batteries. For international customers, please DO NOT order extra batteries, since I cannot ship batteries that are not installed in products.
